THS September Consultant of the Month

Colton “Cole” Broome, who serves as a front desk manager at the Courtyard by Marriott Ithaca Airport/University, in Ithaca, New York, brings more than 12 years of hospitality experience to every assignment. Since joining THS in 2023, Cole has completed more than 17 successful task force placements, consistently showing up with a strong work ethic, the desire to mentor and a positive spirit that uplifts every property he supports.

A career sparked by a family connection

Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Cole’s journey into hospitality began straight out of high school when he landed his first job as an overnight laundry attendant through a family friend in hotel management. He learned firsthand the importance of detail, efficiency and resilience.

That early role lit a fire in Cole to continue learning and growing within the industry. He transitioned to the front desk and over time progressed into supervisory roles in front office, food and beverage, banquet operations and sales coordination. His well-rounded experience prepared him for leadership as an assistant general manager where he brought all those skills together to support teams and properties in a larger way.

A lasting impression of task force leadership

Early in his career, Cole saw the true impact of task force professionals. While working at a property undergoing renovations and operating without a general manager, he witnessed task force leaders step in to provide structure, confidence, and continuity. That moment stuck with him and shaped his own career aspirations.

Today Cole carries that inspiration into every THS assignment, approaching each property with professionalism, humility and dedication. He’s known for being approachable, dependable and someone who makes each day better for the team around him.

Cole’s words to work (and live) by

“Wherever you are, be there,” he says. “Treat the clients like you’re not going anywhere. Offer support wherever and whenever you can, even in other departments.”

It’s this mentality that sets Cole apart and makes him such a valuable asset to the THS family.

A grateful heart and creative spirit

Cole loves that task force life with THS gives him the opportunity to explore the country, meet incredible people and still maintain balance in his personal life. He credits Dana Foley-Taylor, THS vice president of business development, and Windy Gill, THS director of client and consultant relations, for supporting him, believing in his potential and giving him opportunities to shine even when his own confidence wavered.

When he’s not working, Cole taps into his creative side, spending time as a DJ, producing music and enjoying photography.

Congratulations, Cole, and thank you for all that you bring to the team!

Each month, THS presents the Consultant of the Month award to someone working in the field. In addition to this spotlight article in Transformation Post, the honoree receives a gift box and gift card.
