From the CEO’s desk: Positioning ourselves for success

It was a privilege to attend the Spire Leadership Summit this month and reconnect with many of our valued partners and strengthen relationships across the community.

The event, held in Las Colinas, Texas, not only was a chance to meet new faces but also to reaffirm our shared commitment to navigating today’s hospitality challenges together. I especially enjoyed my conversation with Chris Russell, Spire CEO, whose passion for East Texas reflects the kind of authentic leadership that continues to inspire our industry.

As we close out the third quarter, industry data points to a mixed outlook. RevPAR may soften in the months ahead, while labor costs continue to climb. The cost per occupied room rose 6.6 percent in the first half of 2025, highlighting the pressure operators face as expenses outpace revenue. Against this backdrop, retaining and developing talent has become a critical driver of both service and profitability. The cost of turnover extends far beyond hiring; It impacts continuity, guest satisfaction and the ability to deliver on brand promises.

This is where THS thrives. Our clients are seeking talent, and we are proud to provide solutions that not only fill immediate needs but also support long-term stability. By focusing on people and matching the right professionals with the right opportunities, we help our partners navigate margin pressures and position their properties for success.

As we look to the final quarter of the year, our commitment remains clear: to serve with excellence, uphold integrity and partner closely to ensure that talent remains a source of strength and competitive advantage.
