From the CEO’s desk – Fall is proof that change is beautiful
Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of attending The Lodging Conference in Phoenix. These conferences are more than just industry gatherings, they’re opportunities to keep THS at the forefront by connecting with leaders, deepening partnerships and staying close to the trends shaping hospitality’s future.
One of the most meaningful moments came during a conversation with Doug Dreher, chief executive officer and principal of The Hotel Group. He shared how THS talent and services turned an underperforming property they were prepared to walk away from into a hotel they ultimately decided to keep managing. He directly attributed that turnaround to THS.
This is the kind of impact we make as a team. What we do doesn’t just fill a staffing gap, it changes the trajectory of properties and organizations across the industry. Every placement, every consultant and every partnership plays a part in these transformations.
A central theme throughout the conference was muted RevPAR growth. Industry performance isn’t showing year-over-year gains as in recent years and executives across panels and sessions voiced concern over continued unpredictability in the market.
Yet amid this uncertainty, one message was repeated in nearly every room: There is a labor shortage across the industry.
And this is exactly where THS thrives. Labor is what the industry needs and we provide it. In a landscape defined by slow growth and unpredictability, our ability to deliver exceptional talent and operational excellence is not only relevant, it’s essential.
As we head into the final stretch of the year, let’s remember the powerful role we play. The work each of you does strengthens our reputation and positions THS as the partner the industry relies on.
Together, we’re not just navigating the industry, we’re shaping it.
